Dead Head Ed's '46 international K5 pickup

Here's how it came in...cab on an S10 chassis, with a small block and automatic in place. I'm going to help Ed get it running and moving, he will finish at home. Rear view. Hopefully we can use the S10 fuel tank and electric fuel pump. Engine as found. It's from an 80-ish Chevy pickup. We didn't use this power steering pump.

We're using the S10 master cylinder.   Here is where it will mount. Right in the middle of that 1 1/2" step.   It will also receive the S10 pedal assy. It had a stick, the clutch pedal is already removed.

I made a template for MC mounting, to transfer holes to the firewall   The spacer I made for the bottom holes on the MC.   Here is the MC and power steering pump installed. I don't have a picture, but I bent new brake lines where needed. Brakes are solid!

You can see the mechanical fuel pump here...The S-10 had a carb., no electric pump in the tank. The frame rails were cut about 6" and plated. Grille will mount here. Here is the radiator mounted on the grille. Not sure what the radiator is out of. Steering column bolted in...some dress up work is needed here.

Big hole in the floor to cover up   Here is the frame for the new floor.   Frame installed with the Ranger shifter in. This will be covered with sheet metal.

We started it and backed it out today!   Deb in the International. Click to enlarge.   Doghouse covering in process

The finished piece.   Upper floorboard   Doghouse and upper floorboard installed. Ed will paint.

Here is the finished floorboard...painted, shifter and throttle installed. For the throttle, we used pieces from the S-10 and an '80 Impala, and modified from there.   Radiator is nicely tucked in.   I'm done with my part of it. Ed will take it home to finish. He will do glass, bodywork, and install an early 60's Chevy pickup bed, with IH fenders. Tall tires with steelies will be put on.
