Current project is a 1964 Jato golf cart restoration. This was made here in Salina, and the company became Walker lawn mowers. A friend in Grand Junction, CO owns this. I've started the project on August 24, 2010.

Here's how we brought it in...the engine was blown and disassembled.

The body flips up for service. I'm thinking maybe the drive train was part Cushman. A closer view of the as - found condition.
Close up of the drive train. The big belt on the right was driven by the engine, and is on an infinitely variable drive. The three belts drive the differential, which is also where the brake is. Pretty much stripped down. I'll leave it like this until sandblasting is done. Sandblasted and in the paint booth.
Thanks Bergkamp, Inc.

Variprime applied Three coats of primer The awning cover was damaged, so I reinforced it.

The body on my body stand, upside down.
Great platform to work from.
Rust in the floorboard. Body damage on rear underside. This is below where the golf club bags go.

Underside of frame cleaned and painted. Top of frame painted. The brake has been disassembled and cleaned, also the differential was checked and filled with new grease. Damaged metal removed.

I hand formed the 180 degree bend that goes around the frame tube Here's a shot of the whole panel. Test fit
A break on the bottom side, and a joggle along the edge that will mate up with the rear bulkhead. Installed, but not welded yet. The break is on the top in this picture, and goes down. Drive train of golf car. Engine was shot.
Ed doing some prep work before painting. Fresh paint on body.
