Hi!

My name is Tim Cornelius, and I live in Salina, KS. I graduated from Halstead High School in 1979 (go Dragons). My first job out of high school was a machinist at Hesston Corporation (now AGCO). I then spent four years in the Navy, as a Fire Control Technician (Missiles), the last three aboard the USS A.W. Radford, DD-968. This is the ship in which I went to war. After the Navy, I spent a couple years working in a metal fab shop, then worked on heavy trucks and construction equipment. I went to Kansas State University, graduating in '94 with a degree in Avionics Engineering. I started a part time job with Solomon Corporation, working on control panels for voltage regulators. (This quickly became full time, and I have now been there 14 years.) I moved to the OCR shop, to work on their electronic controls. I also design, build, test and repair all sorts of high voltage and high current test equipment, working up to 200,000 volts and 6000 amps. I still do not know what I want to do when I grow up.

I have been married and divorced once, then was engaged to my high school sweetheart, Donna Bramlett. Donna was killed in a car wreck in January, 2002. I am currently seeing a wonderful woman, Debbie (picture below).

My part time activities during all this was firefighting, emergency medicine, and National Guard, where I was a helicopter mechanic, working on Hueys.

Currently, in my off time, I enjoy computers, working on hotrods and home remodeling projects.

I'm the proud father of Tim jr., who is 23. He works for my company, following in my footsteps. He is currently testing and repairing electronic and microprocessor controls for high voltage switchgear.
